Apartment Review for Alden Park

Wonderful 1920's apartment buildings, Manor (main) building is the best. Amazing paneled gothic lobby with working (gas) floor to ceiling stone mantel. In apartment there is also a fireplace with great mantel, lots of (somewhat drafty) windows with great light, nice sized rooms, 1 bedroom has a dining room! Indoor heated big swimming pool and hot tub! Fellow renters nice and friendly, mostly in 20's and early 30's going to local medical and other schools. New carpet in our unit, freshly painted, appliances need updating, w/d available in some units. Maintenance fairly responsive. If you like the charm of older apartments you'll like it here. Things don't always work perfectly so it helps to be patient. Feels safe and has plenty of parking. <P>
