Review for Park Towne Place Apartments

Park Towne Place has the makings of a superb residential complex. The location is second to none nestled on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with tremendous scenery and within walking distance of some of the finest attractions the city has to offer, namely The Philadelphia Museum of Art housing one of the finest art collections in the world second only to the Louvre in Paris.

You are greeted by a very congenial staff when you are inquiring about renting. They try to answer all of your questions and glaze over the utility issue making it sound economical and fair. It is not, you pay exorbitant fees even if you economize and regardless of the size of your unit.

The building is old and in disrepair. Maintenance is non-responsive and when they do appear act as if they are doing you a favor rather than doing what they were hired to do…maintain the premises. Management changes overnight once you rent. The once friendly folks place you on an enemy list waiting for you to make a wrong move and charge you for it.

Pest control does not exist and when there is an infestation issue they charge you to fumigate. Review the lease carefully. I strongly advise you take it to an attorney for review. Your privacy will be invaded without notice, yet they claim no responsibility or liability for the persons entering your unit if anything is missing.

For the money, you can do better. You may not have the beautiful Parkway views but there are better managed and maintained buildings in the city for similar or slightly higher prices.

Safety is also an issue with homeless sleeping on the premises and the underground tunnel is not well lit nor monitored properly.
