I find living at St Ives very enjoyable. The people are very family cautious and the leasing office personnel are extremely helpful. Very nice place to live.

St. Ives is not what it appears to be. Your apartment and all around it is falling apart. Maintenance never comes to fix the problem. The property manager sucks, he talks to you any kind of way, and does not respect his tenants. All he cares about is MONEY!, MONEY!, MONEY!,while your apartment is falling down.

I moved into st ives a couple of months ago and this place has been the worst experience of my life. Everything is breaking, the washers are filled with water for weeks and smell horrible, they left the hoses disconnect I fell with a container of bleach in my hand which broke and ruined half of my clothes. The ridiculously rude woman at the front office (Sophia) said, “thank you for letting us know” and its still not fixed. Walking from my car to my apartment I have been approached by a creepy security guard with a flashlight in my face. I thought I was getting car jacked instead of feeling safe. My car has been hit numerous times in the parking lot and the “security” has done nothing about it. For the smallest issues I’ve called the front office to speak to this Sophia woman and also some manager which is just a voice mail box and no one has ever called me back. There are bugs…lots and lots of bugs that I have seen in my apartment and this so called “exterminator” that I’ve requested resulted in me going to home depot to buy bug spray. My dishwasher leaks at the bottom every time I run it and to fix it they caulked the bottom of the machine which did never fix it because the bottom of the machine is so rusted out its actually breaking into small pieces so I stopped using that for good. This girl at the front does nothing, I should have known when I had to chase her down to give HER money to move into this place and even on moving day I had to move in when people were still cleaning my apartment after she told me it was ready for a week. This placed honestly would be great if they got rid of her. There is a part time woman that works on Wednesdays and Sundays and she is by far awesome and has helped me with anything that I needed. Oh and the maintenance, they just come in whenever they please, I was once showering and sleeping and walked into my living room and they were just standing there waiting for me. Yes I am only a college student, but I pay my rent on time every month and the people around here are very demeaning and rude. The pictures online don’t include the washers, dryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers that are scattered all over the parking lot and the mattresses in the creek that runs through the place. I feel very ashamed to live here and cannot wait for my lease to be up.

I recently moved into St Ives apartments back in April. It took me forever to move in though. The woman at the front desk (Sophia) was severly unprofessional and did not follow up with any of my calls. It took almost 2 or 3 calls a day just to find out if I got the place after I gave them hundreds of dollars. I could understand if I had shaky credit or poor renters history but with A1 credit and great rental history I would think they would want me to move in so I could start paying them. Finally after moving in the "move in special" which included $99 first months rent and a new TV it went from well the SECOND month was 99 dollars and the TV took 3 months to arrive. I was offered a TV I didnt ask for it but instead of me just going and buying a TV like anyone else it took numerous phones calls and multiple office visits to recieve this no name TV instead of the VISIO that I was promised. After moving in my cieling leaked becuase the hot water heater above me broke. No problem except the wanted to just paint the cieling and leave the water up there with mold and let it seep into the brand new carpets in the unit. After coming home from work one night I actually had to poke holes in the cieling and let the water drain and 3 weeks later my cieling is still not finished. Oh and when they were comming in to fix it I was in bed sleeping and woke up to a maint man in my kitchen. Im 20 years old and living on my own hes lucky I didnt call the police I didnt know what was happening. The security around here IS AWESOME. I work nights and coming home to someone walking the grounds and greeting me is very comforting. The place has been pretty good so far but getting anything done is a timely manner is a nightmare.

I have been here for almost 2yrs now and only stayed the 2nd yr because I lost my job but I fully intend on using my 401k to move out of this ******* dump. Where do I start, the girl in the office(sophia) is dumb as ****. I have never seen anything like the dump I am living in, the apts are way to small and I can hear the ignorant people in the next building walking and it shakes the floors in my unit. They rent to anyone and appearently every ignorant person on the planet lives here. There is not any hour that you don't hear loud music blasted or horns blowing and car doors slamming and i'm up pretty late. They have 1 man that is suppose to clean the property and how the **** is 1 person suppose to clean the whole property by 5pm??? Trust me he doesn't I have asked that the hallway in my building be cleaned and to this day it has not been cleaned. Your packages get to sit in the office until you figure out that theyr are in the office. The idiot Sophia told me "we take your packages as a curties"....if my parishble package sits in the office for days and you don't tell me I have a package...HOW THE **** IS THAT A CURTIES!! The grounds are filthy and you cant walk on the sidewalk because of the branches from the trees and the pavements coming up. The only thing that the staff inforces is the collection of the rent because anything goes here and I can't wait to find something so I can break my lease!

First of all, the office manager has no people skills, she's very unprofeesional. I was never shown a model apartment. I'm so glad I didn't move in. They kept my deposit, even though I didn't sign the lease. I gave them so much money (that I didn't have) to move in, and never got a dime back when I didn't take the apartment.

I have lived at St. Ives for over three years. I admit in the past that there were problems with previous management and maintenance, but that seems to have changed for the better.
Maintenace is usually there for repairs in less than 24 hours and the office staff is more pleasant and customer service oriented.
We are happy to see changes and the new management has a better handle on tenant satisfaction. I was going to relocate but decided that the grass is not always greener. I know what I have here and don't want to take the chance.
