Nicely priced, nicely sized ( over a year ago )

Large Studio with separate eat-in kitchen, bathroom off of separate room (with double doors), sizable living/bedroom space. Four floors with (small)elevator access. Issue: management is rarely in the office on the first floor. Also, there's key/code entry at the entrance, but it's not impossible to keep strangers out of the building. They're getting better at locking the gates, but the backdoors are usually open and people can get into the building if they want (I've done it several times after locking myself out the front door). And, yes, you can hear everything from Walnut Street (including the high school across the street) and, sometimes, other apartments.
Other than that, the apartments are nicely sized and priced. Best of all, the 21 stops at either 48th & Chestnut or 48th & Walnut. The 42 stops at 48th & Spruce. The EL (Market-Frankford/Blue Line) stops at 46th & Market (a 5-minute walk). There's also a supermarket 5 blocks down Walnut and anotheer 8 blocks down Walnut (plus a library, retail pharmacy, several places to eat). Several corner stores are also nearby.

Management is very nice and they get to your maintnence problems pretty quick.
although the building is very quiet there is ALOT of street noise from walnut st so if you need alot of quiet this is not the place for you.
It doesnt looks that great from the outside but inside the apartments are beautiful. So make sure you go in and see. Dont judge from the outside.
