This apartment building is gorgeous, cool, and in a good location.
HOWEVER, I have never before had to sign a lease that 14 pages long and iron clad: you can't get out of it even if you die! Someone called it "illegal." It's not illegal, it's just not very tenant friendly.
The maintainence guys are awesome, friendly, quick, knowledgable... they'll help you any time they can.
But the parking lot wasn't plowed or salted very well when it snowed, I nearly slid into another tenant's car! Yikes! And we're each paying $45/month!
My carpet is disgusting, and wasn't cleaned or replaced prior to moving in (even though the lease makes such promises).
My exterior walls have bubbling paint that gets worse each time it rains...
there are termites & mice in this building. The windows don't open and close very easily.
The heat is inconsistent, and often too hot... no individual apartment climate control.
