I have rented from forbes for 6 years since they bought my building. I have begged to come to the office and they will not let me go there. I have not seen the owner since he bought our builing and have been told I am not allowed to speak with him so I doubt he showed an apartment. I have a hand written letter from forbes stating they would do work to my apartment by June 2005, it's now April 2006 and it's not been done. Everytime I call they ignore my request even though I mention I have this in writting. So they lied to me and now they ignore me. I have paid my rent 2 months in advance for the last 2 years and am a good tennat.I have lived in my apartment for going on 11 years. They treat me like they don't know me, don't want to know me and don't care about me. So if Forbes is so wondeful why are they always scewing me? I saw a roach in my bathroom for the first time ever a few months back. I called them when this happened and no one came to check on it or exterminate. I've been asking to have the cracks in bathroom wall fixed to now avail, and the longest problem I've had with them is they put new windows in 6 years ago, which is a good thing, but have yet to fix the cracked window frames they created for me. So if you love being the number of your unit and not a name, by all means rent from fobes.
