Jason left a very dangerous situation when he was hired to fix my furnace. Well, he was actually paid to fix it 3 times and he still couldn't get it right.
Basically the auto igniter didn't work. Instead of fixing it correctly, he slapped all the wires together (bypassing the thermostat setting) so that the furnace would run until the highest temperature is reached (80 degrees). The next time it would have needed to heat, it would have assumed the igniter would have been lit (which it wouldn't be) and would have started filling the house up with gas.
It's a small furnace with an inefficient system, so it never reached 80 degrees this past winter (it would have around June, presumably). So a very likely house explosion would have occured around this coming September, when the temperature drops below 80 and the furnace calls for gas again. Luckily for me, I have since fired Jason and found a competent property manager despite his absurd and insincere offer (given his track record of total failure and ignoring phone calls and emails) to fix it.
With the furnace unnecessarily running 24x7 this past winter, my gas bills have been insane: $1500 in Feb alone... when he left windows wide open in an empty apartment. Idiot. He's like the opposite of Midas. He turns everything he touches to shit. He really is a danger to the community.
Here's a quote from the guy who had to clean up Jason's mess: "Whoever touched your furnace last shouldn't be doing that. It's all wrong".
It's good to finally be in good hands. Jason kept saying that his deficiencies are made up for in cheap rates. His 3 visits that further degraded my furnace cost $650. The cost of a reputable company to fix all of that? $350.
So we have that, the problems with the city's bureau of building inspection, problems with the county health department and the growing number of the real postings on here. That's quite a crowd vs. Gregg and Jason and whomever they pay to say nice things about them. Pretty sad.
