I fell for one of Lobos Managements TACKY apartment rental advertisements on Craigslist. I called and set up the appointment to see the apartment. The woman who answered the phone seemed to by annoyed by my call to inquire about the apartment which shocked me! After all I am a potential customer who will spend several thousand dollars over the lease term. I was early for my appointment so while waiting for the rental agent to show, I looked around. Trash was piled by the dumpsters, weeds infested the lawn and what was flower beds. The grass needed cut and the bushes needed pruned and trimmed. As I was looking around a guy and girl came out of the building. They said hello and asked if I was going to look at an apartment? I said yes, thats when they told me the story about Lobos Management, how they are liars and cheats. Never do a thing to the buildings and are considered slumlords all over Pittsburgh. They also informed me that they are always rude on the phone and maintenance requests never get done. They had to call the health department about no heat in February for three weeks! They suggested checking them out on this website along with rippoff report .com, just type in Lobos Management. The rental agent showed up 15 minutes late, glad he did or I would have been cluless on Lobos. Well he was a mess, needed a shower and shave, his breath smelled like Godzilla's. He showed me the apartment. Ceramic tile stuck to every surface, the kitchen was advertised as "state of the art". The stove was from the 60's and the refrigerator had to be defrosted by turning it off. Both appliances were different colors, green and yellow. I had no idea they ever made appliances in such gross colors. At this point I said that I had to go. When I came home I did some checking. They have ads all over Craigslist with corny phrases like "Go to the head of your class", "Be the envy of your friends", "Lobster and Wine at beer and pretzel prices", and the best, "So spacious a heard of goats could graze here". Well I say put them out in the front lawn and let them graze, it sure was in need. Take my advice, I scoured the ads and have all the phone numbers to avoid, they are all Lobos. Here is the list. I called all of them and cofirmed that they are Lobos Management.
