Apartment Review for Es Management

Our apartment was located on Ellsworth Ave in Shadyside. The name of the builind was, "The Panama", and we lived in apartment #9 (DO NOT LIVE THERE).

Brianna; the fat clown faced, ditzy blonde, who is the head property manager of the building is a very deceiving person and full broken promises. When we first moved in, one of the bedrooms had a broken door which was covered by a piece of ply-wood. In the bathroom, our old fashioned bath tub was peeling and covered with mold. We notified Brianna of the problem from day 1 and for the 12 months we were there it was never fixed. Towards the end of the year Brianna will tour your apartment and give you no more than 2 hours notice that people are coming to check out the apartment. ES Management will also find every reason to keep your full security deposit plus more. For example, ES Management attempted to keep our full security deposit of $2000 + an extra $2000 for repairs. For each room they claimed our floors were damaged and the walls were "yellowish" from smoke damage. They charged us $300 to wax each room + $300 to re-paint each room. They are also trying to charge us $750 for a new dishwasher because it was "dirty and damaged" on the inside.

ES Management is not worth the hassle. We are taking to them to court next month for the outrageous charges. If you do choose an ES Management aparment, I truly feel simpathy for you. I would recommend taking pictures of the apartment before and after moving in because they will find every possible way to keep your security deposit. There is a reason the rating for ES Management are so terrible and I wish I would have read reviews such as this before renting from them. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! There are better apartments in the area for the same price.
