John C. R. Kelly Realty, Inc. has been managing property since 1966. We currently manage over 1,000 rental units. Many thousands of people have rented from us in this time and have no complaints of our service and the quality of our apartments. Our apartments and townhomes are some of the best in the City of Pittsburgh.

The reviews that are seen on the internet are less than one half of one Percent of the actual tenants that have rented from us. In most cases the negative reviews have been posted multiple times by the same person. Some of these negative reviews are from people who either damaged the apartment they rented, left without honoring their lease or owed rent and/or damages.

We all know how not everything on the internet is always true. As with most of these negative reviews they are opinions and are not based on facts. Additionally these reviews have been left anonymously and cannot be challenged. There are always two sides to the story.

What these negative reviews do not depict are the other 99.5% of former and current tenants of John C.R. Kelly Realty, Inc. who are completely satisfied with our management of their apartments.

I moved my child into a John Kelly Apartment on Meyran Avenue. Last year my child lived in South Oakland on McKee and I never felt safety was a top concern for that landlord. Easy to get in the common door. Lights out all the time in the stair well. So, when we moved my child into John Kelly's place, I did not expect much. Boy was I surprised. The outside of the apartment was clean. No broken glass. No strewn trash. Very well kept. The front door actually locked and nobody was going to jimmy their way into that building.

The apartment itself was very clean for a student apartment. The place was quiet and the hallways were also very clean.

We have had nothing but good dealings with the office and would highly recommend any of his apartments.

I can't just let all of these people write negative reviews, when I know that this was not the case with us.

I wouldn't recommend John C.R. Kelly to my greatest enemy. Upon moving into our "furnished" apartment, we found out that they never moved the furniture in. So, we sat and slept on the floor for WEEKS. When we called to complain, they simply said "Well, we're not furnishing the apartments next year." Then, over Christmas break, they came into our apartment and cranked our heat up! They cost us over $300 in electric bills. When we asked them about it, they said they really helped us out because they thought our pipes were going to freeze. But, they didn't adjust anyone else's in our building. We asked them why they only messed with our heat and they said we have absolutely no right to talk to our neighbors. Whatever that means. The staff is rude, they never call you back, and I have told every person I know not to rent from this company. Do yourself a favor and avoid the misery that comes with renting from John C.R. Kelly.

Liked my apt, adn the maintenance people

I'm surprised to read all the bad reviews here. This realty beats my old landlord. Although the fridge was broken and certain things were missing, they fixed it really fast. I reported a missing closet rod and they fixed it within days and left no trace of their presence. Kelly Realty treated us really well, maybe they changed and decided to take their tenants seriously. I recommend them. <P>

My apartment is in perfect order - great kitchen, new carpets, wall paint in great condition, great bathroom. <P>
Plus, the staff is incredible. When my fridge broke, it was replaced within a few hours. Kelly Realty has always been helpful, courteous, friendly. <P>
This is my second year here, and it's been great. The rent is good compared to what everyone else I know is paying.... and yet I like my place better than theirs. :) <P>
I would HIGHLY recommend Kelly Realty to anyone searching for an apartment. <P>

THey are the worst company ever. I wish i could take back every penny i gave them for rent.

I have never in my entire life had such disgust and hatred for a company. They are the worst landlord you can imagine. They dont call before showing up, they dont come and fix things...even when they are urgent.

They came and ripped up our bathroom WITHOUT EVEN TELLING US they were going to. I came home to find a toilet, the bathroom sink, and cabinetry IN MY ROOM....along with hundreds of little toiletries that are common to the bathroom.
They are the scum of the earth, if i could tell everyone in the world about this company....I WOULD.
