Apartment Review for Lobos Management

I would tell anyone and everyone that I know never to rent from Lobos. I can't believe that they are even still in business. My husband and I rented an apartment in Bethel Park from them for over 3 years and it was a nightmare from beginning to end. Several times, strange men came to our apartment attempting to break into our sliding glass door during the middle of the night. From the time we moved in until the time we moved out, Lobos refused to put a lock on this door so we had put bars in place to prevent it from being opened by strangers. There was practically no parking at all due to people having guests over all the time or other people parking at our apartment complex to ride the Trolley into town. The building looked nice from the outside but inside, it was an embarassment to even have people in the hallway which smelled like cigarette smoke and was full of bugs. The office staff blow you off when you call or they give you misleading information and you get a different story each time you call back. We had our ceiling cave in twice during the time that we lived there and the maintenance staff refused to fix things properly. They let the water from the AC unit upstairs drip into our ceiling until the drywall was soaked and then they just came in and painted over the problem. This resulted in numerous illnesses caused by the mold and mildew in the walls and in our AC/ heating vents. Every 3 months or so our water would be shut off because Lobos would not pay the water or sewage bills. The neighbors upstairs sounded like they had their own personal bowling alley. My only hope is that this review will convince someone not to sign a lease with them before they end up taking on the nightmare of an apartment that I was so glad to leave.
