I have inhabited a Colonies Townhome for about a year and a half now. With two other roommates, this puts the monthly rent at about $216, which is pretty affordable. And yes, you do get a lot of square footage. I do like having the large living room.

In the winter, be prepared to freeze your *** off, or else pay an ungodly electric bill. The furnace and refrigerator that came with our place are VERY old and VERY inefficient. Your best bet is to go to the hardware store and get one of those shrink-wrap window kits, because the windows are VERY drafty, and otherwise your precious, expensive warm air will leak away.

The kitchen and bathroom cabinets and fixtures are pretty old and dingy, but, then again, it's student housing, and you get what you pay for.

BANGING! SCREAMING! PARTYING! Does anyone in this apartment complex pay for their own education? Dealing with the pigs who live above us is horrific. They use the window as trash can and a toliet (to puke out of).
Security is occassionally helpful in taming those savage beasts, and the management is respectful and accommodating.
If you choose to live here, cross your fingers and wish for neighboors with a shred of sanity.

Well these apartments used to be fun, for people looking for fun...... Which is cool for some people annoying for others.....
they are tiny little places, and for 4 people can become very annoying...
You cant really beat the price, I think if they raised it any they wouldnt find people to live here.
So basically what used to be a great place to party isnt anymore... But the walls are still paper thin, and people just watching TV next store can become a nuisance... So while the ridiculous security measures..(blocking off entrances on holidays, nazi-like un-authorized towing and security people stalking around on thurs - sun.) what used to be its only plus, the the fun of livign here is gone. So what you have left is just one tiny little apt, that eventhough people dotn party here, its still ridiculously noisy. The parking and security are just a nuisance.
