Review for Woodland Village Apartments

The apts are huge, the rent is VERY reasonable BUT the maintenance men do very little work. Everything is 'contracted out' and they have to 'wait on corporate' to give them an ok to do anything. My roommate and I were moved into an apt that was not maintained in 10 years and things are falling apart around us. The only time we had a quick response from maintenance was when it was an emergency. They have made the grounds beautiful and done 'surface' repainting so at a quick look - everything looks great - come inside the apts it is a different story! Office staff - very polite, claim they tell the maintenance men - can show you copies of work orders but still nothing gets done. It took MONTHS for them to fix a leak in the bathroom ceiling - was waiting on ceiling to come down - still waiting one month now for someone to come and put vent back in wall after it fell down suddenly one morning.
We deeply regret signing a new lease but couldn't find an apt in Columbia that could compare with space. Plus - we were promised that everything was going to get better - how foolish we were!
If you want to live in a huge apt, but maintain EVERYTHING on your own, this is the place for you!!!!!!!
