Apartment Reviews for Biltmore Apartments - Columbia

I recently have been doing apt searches (planning for future move)and must say was impressed with the friendliness & patience the apt manager showed me when I called & stopped by. Unlike a few other places I won't mention, when I called she answered all of my questions (#20) with a helpful and upbeat attitude,didn't give me an earful of how many other things she was busy doing (found out later from another worker that she had had a few people waiting on her), and did a good job of explaining the whys & what fors of their policies to me. When my daughter & I toured the facility, we noticed the apts seemed spacious & bright -- although, yes, the hallways kinda reminded me of the movie "The Shining" (I kept expecting to see those twin girls at the end). I was extremely impressed with the sound-proofing, as I didn't hear ANY bleed-thru of sound either in the hallways or in the apt I viewed. The balconies were of great size & even the "bad" views were still enjoyable. Liked the fact the pool is 8ft deep & loved the BBQ area. I spoke with a couple of residents who reported that they had been there going on 3 years and still loved it. Drawbacks -- elevators are small (lg furniture might be problem) and no w/d connections so have to pay (and make trip to 1st floor) for laundry. Overall though, seemed like a good bet. -hopeful future resident...
