Review for Brookhaven Apartments

Upon first visiting everything was great..we moved in, the staff was really nice and welcoming and they have no problem with dogs and cats which is a plus.There is plenty of parking and it's not too noisy if you don't mind a little traffic noise now and then when you open the windows.
But fair warning...by "Newly Remodeled" they mean..we painted over holes in the walls and patched them up funky,we paint the balcony over chipping wood and don't even let it dry before you put your foot on it and the air conditioner area hasn't been cleaned or de-iced in years...we have lovely soft spots in the floor that wobble when you walk but the brand new carpet masks that! The door handle in our bedroom broke about a week after we moved in, the microwave shorted out and stopped working and half of the outlets in our living room STILL don't work. It's do-able if you are really needing a place to stay but not top of the heap for the price.
Also, for the one bedroomers: They randomly close the "24 hour" laundry facility so you have to just get lucky when you need some laundry done.
Some good things: All the appliances work (with the exception of the microwave in mine) there is a good bit of storage space and a huge pantry. There's a cute little built in bookshelf in the livingroom and the bedroom is a decent size.
Advice:Go over your apartment with a fine tooth comb before you sign anything to make sure you can handle the little quirks this place has.I like it here ..but not enough to stay another year for 614/month [599+15 for water]
