Review Title:   The Ghetto Of Mud Island!

This place is horrible. I have never been treated with such poor customer/resident service in my life! I'd rather go the the dentist, the DMV or be audited by the IRS than have to deal with the maintenance and office staff at this facility. The management has changed hands twice since I have lived here (only 3 months) and I was personally told things would get better after the horrible experience with my air conditioning. They lied! They don't take emergency maintenance seriously, as you can tell from previous reviews about no AC for four months! I love living on the Island, but any other apartment complex would be better. I'd rather pay more and be treated like a human than save a little (and I do mean little, because the prices at other complexes are not that much different) and be treated like a nuisance when this is their job. The answering serivce sucks also. You will spend more time talking to the dispatcher than an actual employee. The answering machine says they are open from 9-6 on weekdays, but I have come home from work on numerous occasions to find them leaving at 5 and not even answering the phone until almost 10. Good luck trying to get someone in the office on weekends too. They claim to be open, but they don't anwer the phone or the door. I have heard numerous people that are living there complain too. Our AC leaked into the unit below us and it still took them 3 days to fix it. Only after the people below called and I called 100 times and pitched a fit in the office in front of potential renters. I wanted to warn them! There are only 1 maybe 2 maintenace guys, and they obviously need to hire a third or fourth because it takes them so long to get to any request. They office staff also has no control over the maintenance staff at all. They come and go as they please and pick and choose the jobs they actually want to work on. One guy was fixing my AC that had been out for a week, left to go "fix an easier problem" Then didn't finish fixing my AC until 2 days later because it was "going to take too long". Maybe if they actually tried to fix the problem, not just get it under control, they wouldn't have to work as hard and they would be able to get to all the requests that are made. On any given day they claimed to have 4 or 5 AC unit out. To me that is a big problem. The company I work for rents this for its employees and they have decided to switch complexes because of all the problems we have had. Thankfully no other person from my company will ever have to live here again!
