Apartment Review for Sycamore Lake Apartments

Would not even give this place 1 star for safety, office staff, condition, noise level, or overall ratings.
Our lease goes up in May, & because we didn't tell them we're moving 60 days before that, we have to pay for June also. The office staff (which, btw, there's not a single person still working there that was there 2 yrs ago) can't even give a reference to our future landlord, they can't even fax a rent ledger to her. "It's policy." Makes you wonder what they do for their future tenants...
Less than 6 months after we moved in a woman's home in our unit was broken into & she was assaulted. We heard about it from a neighbor, & the office would not even give us any info. We switched to a different apartment, where my husband's work truck was broken into in broad daylight & things were stolen. Our front door has also been vandalized by a gang. The office has done NOTHING about any of these things. Also found out through my own research that a sex offender lists an address IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. We were never notified.
We have an ongoing problem with roaches. Must be the neighbors, because ours gets sprayed almost every week & the **** bugs keep coming back.
Our upstairs neighbors like to sit on their porch & smoke weed, which apparently is fine with the office staff. We've called police numerous times because of excessive noise.
Bottom line: If you're concerned about your safety, & the safety of your children, DON'T MOVE HERE.
