Review for Amli At Frankford Apartments

PROS: the maintenance staff usually fixes things within the first 24 hours and if it isnt its probably because the office staff never relayed the message that something needed to be done; they threw some pool parties during the summer; thats about it...
CONS: the hot tub has not worked since about the month I moved in (March, it took them months to add more sand to the volleyball court that was much needed, the "car wash" only rinses your car with water because there is no soap and the vaccuum cleaner was broken several months back as well but nothing has been done to fix these problems, Several cars were broken into and when I notified the front office that there was broken glass in the parking lot they seemed surprised?! as if they didnt know the cars had been broken into and after a few days of walking around all the broken glass I went back to remind them of the glass and they said they would fix it immediately (nothing was ever done, it eventually just blew away and went into poeples tires) When I signed my lease I was told that I could only get internet with Verizon and cable with Dish because the whole complex was under contract with them but they didnt tell us that we either have to pay a $100 for them to connect you or sign a 2 year contract ($150 fee if you cancel before the 2 years is up; which who knows if you'll still live at AMLI for 2 years) plus Dish is the most expensive cable available in Dallas :(
Im not completely dissatisfied with the AMLIs, just wish I wasnt promised all these amenities that never work. I plan to move out in March after my lease is up... guess I'll be paying that 150 cancellation fee with Dish.
Oh I forgot to mention our apartment was completely filthy on our move in date, we had to complain for 3 days then we were finally offered brand new carpet and tile and 3 days free rent after we spent a full day of scrubbing out the place and the manager finally came up to the apartment to see how bad it was... looked as if they just vaccumed the place and sprayed some air freshner then rented it out to us.
