I actually enjoyed my first year of living at AMLI at Lantanna Ridge. However, things quickly declined during my last two years there. I liked the fact that it was on the outskirts of town, but now AMD has moved next door and has ruined that. It is always noisy, busy, and it has caused the wildlife to move into the apartment community. One of my dogs was actually killed by coyotes that had come onto the property. Further more, when I moved out, I had the apartment cleaned professionally by their own maid service. The apartment was imaculately cleaned (minus the water stains on the ceiling because they never fixed a leak). However, I still didn't get a penny of my deposit back. Initially, I was sent a bill for over $1200, but after a lot of contesting with the manager, I was told that they had made a billing mistake and would "review my records". They somehow lost my file and informed me that they could only find proof that I had lived there for one year (I was there for a total of 3). For over 8 months, I heard absolutely nothing from AMLI. I never received a phone call, a bill, or any other form of contact after I was told they would "review my records". I assumed they had found the mistake and my charges were waived. 8 months after my move out date, I recieved a call from a collections agency stating that I owed $918 (noticeably less that $1200, but still a shock). I called the AMLI assistant manager named Sheila who stated to me "I tried to call you to let you know, but I never could get in touch with you. Now that I think about it, I may have dialed one digit off. I feel so bad about that). I told her that I didn't care how she felt because now I had been reported to a debt collector. I have immaculate credit ratings, so I was very upset about this. Anyhow, she repeatedly said things such as "I admit, I should have worked harder to get in touch with you" and "I'm so sorry for this mix up." Then I asked to speak with Rory, the manager who was unavailable. I've not heard anything back for 3 days. I did pay the $918 because it was worth it to keep it from going on my credit rating, but fair warning....I would NEVER recommend AMLI at Lantanna Ridge to anyone....EVER! The staff turnover is incredibly high. There seems to be a new manager every year or so. It really says something about a community when they can't keep staff for any longer than they do. <P>
