Worst Living Situation Of My Life

I live at the Block on Rio Grande and it is by far the worst out of the eleven total homes that I have lived in. Moving into this apartment, I was excited and in much anticipation to being the first to live in it but things quickly turned around. After living here a week, I knew that it was going to be a long year. After filling the dishwasher up for the first time, I noticed that it was not bolted into the opening for it. I figured it was just a mistake and turned the dishwasher on. It immediately began flooding the entire kitchen. The towel rod in my bathroom fell off when I put a towel on it, and the washer dispensed hotter water on the cold setting than the hot setting. There was and still is a missing tile in one of our bathrooms and the shower door does not close, allowing water to flow right out onto the floor. After putting in a request to have it fixed, a maintenance crew came to "fix" everything. In order to fix the problem with the washer, they bent and then wedged its metal brackets up against the counter top. The dishwasher fell right back out the first time I opened it after that. They said that they fixed the washer and didn't and the towel rod fell off again the very same week. By the time I put in the next request for the washer, the timer had broken on it and I had to manually control the wash cycle. The drier had also decided to stop drying clothes. It took over 160 minutes for a single load of laundry. Two and half months later and five requests to have the washer and drier fixed, they finally replaced them. Furthermore, the electric bbq still does not work after asking to have it fixed since I moved in. The gate to enter the garage has been broken for a month now, allowing anyone who pleases to enter our building. The elevator is operational about 25% of the time. The first floor floods every time it rains along with the fitness room, so if you plan on working out, you better hope that it hasn't rained any time in the past couple months. They also did not clean the apartment before we moved in. I vacuumed five bag fulls of dust and dirt out of my tiny room. It's no wonder why I have developed asthma and the worst allergies of my life. As soon as a leave the complex, my symptoms improve. Bottom line is that if you are looking for a place to live, avoid this place at all costs! It may looks nice but looks can be very deceiving!

After my last post, the new drier has already broken. My roommate tried to turn it on and it shot sparks out the back of it. I think they went out and bought every Wal-Mart special they could find and stuck it in this hell-hole. I also forgot to mention that I agree with the other post. The "free internet" is no doubt a huge joke. Only two channels come through on the television and the internet goes in and out all the time. Plus, it took them over a month to even get the the service turned on. I signed my own contract with Time Warner shortly after I realized that this company has no concern whatsoever for their tenants - and that didn't take long at all.
