Review for The Palms At Walnut Creek Apartments

Unfortunately due to some other circumstances, I have chosen to continuing living at the Palms. They have become incredibly frustrating however. There are times in which they do follow through with maintenance requests or upkeep, however there have been PLENTY of times recently in which I am not getting the service I paid for. With a hike in rent (they say it's because of the property value--yeah right, the ground is shifting all over the place, there's a creek that runs nearby and the main attractions around here are UPS and USPO. Perhaps it's because of the ease of getting to major high ways...but um, there are MANY APARTMENTS like that, so I don't think so) comes with upgrades. Those have NOT BEEN DONE despite scheduling them (which you have to do, they don't just do them despite that being on the renewal sheet). I have requested information and promised to have a call back the next day but surprise, NO ONE CALLED, not even the day after or the week after. When repairs have been made, they are crappy, sometimes they leave a mess, and some have become problems again. What the hell am I paying for?! The gym is small and didn't have AC for awhile (100+ degrees out, yeah that's fun) and the TV's are gone. Oh there was beautiful remodeling done with our rent increase but to the MAIN BUILDING. I don't get it. I'm a nice person, put in my requests as asked, don't cause trouble, care for my apartment, etc. It's not fair and it isn't right and perhaps bordering stealing. Let me ask you this Palms; would you like it if you were treated this way? $680 for a 514 square ft. apartment?????????? I don't care if they "used to be condos"; they don't look like condos now, that's not what they are, and that is unreasonable priced. There are apartments down the road that are larger and cheaper. Who votes for rent reduction?! The economy is crud right now but The Palms is making some money. How about getting that piece of crap pale maroon car removed too? It's been sitting there for MONTHS.
