Apartment Review for Briarwood Apartments

I am not an anonymous tattletale.**** I just moved here and I haven't even lived here a week and I am already having problems with the office staff. They act like they just flat out don't care once you sign that lease. I was sold the idea of covered assigned parking, and was told by the leasing office to notify them if someone takes my spot. Four out of the five days I have been here my spot has been occupied by my neighbor, twice overnight. I have told the office every time and they keep saying they will place a violation on the car for it to move, but they never do. They keep telling me that the resident may not know someone lives in our apartment now, but that is a lie because I had to wait two weeks to move in for the last tenant to move, and for the apartment to be cleaned up and made ready. They give me excuse after excuse, and today when I told the office, she told me that they are thinking about doing away with the assigned parking due to so many problems. To me, that sounds like a passive-aggressive threat to discourage me from complaining about what I was sold as rightfully mine. Unfortunately, there is nothing in the lease about the specific parking space, only the folder it came in is labeled with my parking space, which I have to chalk up to a bad lesson learned. In the future, get EVERYTHING in writing, no matter how insignificant it seems!! If they are not willing to handle a problem this simple, it worries me to think about how they will ignore future problems that may be far more important, like maintenance issues or safety concerns. When my lease is up, I am moving from this complex.
