I have lived at worth street and junius street for a couple of years now. I felt compelled to set a record straight. The review on march 30, 2012 didn't seem to sum up my experience.
I really do not understand the bit about the gate not working. I have never experienced this. Anytime I needed repairs made to my unit (which is seldom), they were always performed in a timely manner. Plus my schedule wass always taken into consideration as to not inconvience me.
I consider it a blessing to have an apartment manager like Kitty Kaye that is active on the property. We've all had the manager that does nothing about nasty, noisy tenets. She keeps the place looking nice and is great to show off to your friends when they come over.
Movie nights, free beer, and other events take place to encourage everyone to get to know their neighbors.
Location of the property was great also. Youre near many shops, Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, major highways, etc.
Please don't pay much attention to the person who posted that bogus review on March 30. I'm not sure what their problem is, but i cannot disagree more with what they posted.

I have lived here for four years. eI currently live in a two bedroom with a private yard. I love the zen courtyard with zen music piped throughout the property. It is like living in a resort

Maintenance issues have always been handled VERY promptly (even at nights and on the weekends). I travel a lot for work and have come to trust and rely on my neighbors (and Katrina and Joel) to keep an eye on things in my absence and have been most thankful to have neighbors and landlords that I can turn to while I am away. I appreciate the sense of community that Katrina and Joel try to establish by providing 'gatherings' such as movie nights, etc. for the two properties.
I have lived in those big multi-unit places before, but I much prefer the smaller places like 4414 Worth St. Katrina and Joel took the time to get to know me and frequently ask me how things are going and if I need anything (I never got that treatment at a Post Property).

If you are a F%^CK up she won't like you but she runs a tight ship. She wants everyone to treat each other right and be respectful of their neighbor. So there is no trashy people or rude partiers at the property. Property is totally cool with it Zen courtyard. The property management (katrina) is always working on the place and really takes pride in the property. I have never stayed in an apartment more then a year before and I am signing my third here. Tells you something!My movers didn't show up to move me and she and the handi man helped me move. Now that is service. Anyone who writes a bad reveiw about this women is someone she kicked out for there behavior. (and we have a few bad apples that she asked to leave and the place is a lot better now) LOVE IT HERE.

It is the first place that I have ever known (and liked) every neighbor in my building. The neighborhood is great: I wanted to live in an energetic, heterogeneous, no pretense, art-conscious, bohemian-inspired neighborhood. I wanted to live amongst a driven group of people that were open to new ideas, and more simply than that I wanted to live amongst a group of people that were willing to say more than "Hi." if you passed them in the hall. For those that want a private gym, a swimming pool, an apartment full of carpet but devoid of character, - don't move to the Junius/Peak properties. Junius/Peak properties, and most all of the Lower East Dallas neighborhoods, are the place to be if you like living amongst a diversity of people and amongst the old-world charm that defines this area. <P>
