I lived there for 4 years. It is between a neighborhood of crack houses and 400K townhomes. All you have to do is drive around...if it scares you, move elsewhere. Maintenance was fine, I lived across from the security officer, so I was not too concerned about that. It IS near downtown of the murder capital of the US, so don't be stupid...It is close to uptown without the uptown price. I found staff to be excellent, as is the free massage therapist. Everybody knew my name. Rent and deposit handled effectively. The neighborhood kids come to the pool to swim and that is a problem. It's a high crime area, but it's downtown Dallas.
