Review for Preston Del Norte Apartments

I had no complaints about maintenance. I was robbed twice in less than 24 hours on my last weekend there and the security officer just told me to PHONE it in to the police. They don't even bother taking the reports in person. The nearby creek, White Rock, is a little highway for the burglars to come by. With an enclosed patio, there's plenty of cover for the burglars to break in and loot the place. Keep that in mind if you have a first floor place.

Since I had moved out about 99% of my belongings it is possible that the burglar simply thought I was moving in.

Even then I had intended to move back until it took over 4 months to get my deposit back. I had varying excuses including the management company being in Canada, change of management and other weaselings. By Texas law it has to be refunded in 30 days. I never did get an accounting of the "deductions" as promised either. Initiallly I had to remind them that I had a pet deposit that was also owed to me otherwise it would have been at least another month after I finally got the apartment deposit check.

The original management was very helpful, I can't say the same about the current one since I don't know them. But they took over right after I moved out and just kept fobbing me off with excuses about my deposit and finally gave me the direct number to the person handling the checks who happened to be somewhere on the grounds.
