Review for Rock Creek Apartments

This is a good location at Preston and Beltline, except for trying to get in and out the only drive with heavy Beltline Rd. traffic. The office staff was nice until we moved in. The fact that they 'accidentally' didn't do the paperwork on the apt. to be vacated for us should have been a big clue. The guy changed his mind after we had already changed addresses and scheduled hookups--4 wk. before move in. So we were put in a different side. The apt. wasn't ready when I came to get the key and unload. There were workmen still in the apt. The kitchen counter was dirty, old gamepieces and dead bugs in hall closet, sliding closet doors in bedroom fell when I touched them, and a carpetman came in to spray stuff on the carpet to make it shine but made it wet for a day or 2. When I started calling them in on maintenance issues they turned hateful. They only do work grudgingly, and sometimes it takes 3-5 requests to get something taken care of. They neglected to tell us about the bugs--large tree bugs, small tree worms, earwigs, doodle bugs, spiders, and flying ants have all been major issues. Parking is a nightmare. For a 2 bedroom we are given 1 covered space. The other person has to find an empty space--about 15 between 8 buildings. Some brave people have come home and not finding a space parked in a lined space or on the grass, and are getting $40 parking tickets from the City of Dallas. Maintenance is normally a joke--they are more likely to break something than fix it. On the 2nd request to fix my leaky showerhead their answer was twisting the knob tighter so that it wouldn't leak!!! The walls are so thin that you can hear whatever your neighbors do.
This is one of the worse places I have lived in the past 11 years.
