Apartment Review for Versailles Apartments

This place is one of the cheapest in North Dallas for a reason. Do yourself a favor: there are dozens of other complexes around the area. Choose any but the Versailles.

It's been horrible since day one. I made the mistake of signing a lease before seeing the actual apartment I'd be moving into - things were missing and broken, and I had to harass them to do something as simple as adding a door to the patio storage closet outside. It took about six months and MANY complaints for this request (which should have been there from the start).

Disposal breaks often, I've given up on a working ice-maker, the archaic washer/dryer barely works, A/C has broken..just to name some of the LESSER problems.

A tornado hit this place back in April (literally), and it only takes a quick drive around to see the state it's been left in. Chimneys flew off all over the complex. My upstairs neighbors' lost theirs, and where should it fall but on the car port RIGHT above my car' Luckily, no vehicle damage, but a massive leak came in through their roof and flooded through my roof into my living room. The car port is still damaged, and caution tape was put up until several months later, we've disregarded it and continued parking in our spots.

I've also had several leaks come in through my bathroom. The best maintenance could do after several complaints was repair the leak and give me some paper towels to clean the water damage. God only knows what kinds of molds and bacteria are now living under my carpet.

Insurance money never came in for all the tornado damage, and NOTHING has been done, except for the simplest of repairs (still no chimneys, still no carpet or ceiling replacement, nothing).

In addition, my indoor cat caught fleas. Found out that they'll only spray for anything if you explicitly ask. What a horror that has been.

Scary neighbors, too. I hear couples screaming at each other day and night. The one normal neighbor told me his car was stolen from the lot after moving in, and hates it here as well.

But hey, if the hot chicks running down Pear Ridge are enough of a seller, by all means, welcome to the Versailles!
