Review for The Timberlinks At Denton Apartments

I stayed at the Timberlinks for five months while I was looking for a house to move in. I don't see why people say the staff is not very friendly. They were courteous and attended to me well. They often seemed bored though, and this is where people might think that.

The apartment was well-furnished but decorated with cheaper knick-knacks, potpourri, and picture frames that dented or fell of the walls easily. The toilet seat broke easily and no one came to fix so I had to buy one out of my own money. You can hear the neighbors talking or their kids running around upstairs. At the clubhouse, the pool and hot tub close at five o'clock and the entire clubhouse is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (when a lot of people are at work). There's a cleaning lady who comes to clean your house every Thursday afternoon, but ONLY if you're there (one again, work).

The business center (which is just two computers, one extremely slow) is small and the printer only works half the time because kids print way too many pages. There was alway an obese and perverted looking man who was there using the good computer when I needed it the most, and he was just browsing through Myspace for young people and looking at pictures of little league softball girls.

As you may have read, there's a man who lives in a filthy habitat (there's no way you can call that a home) behind the apartments and it consists of garage parts, old rusty auto parts, and what seems like an imitation tepee (from those recreational places in Arizona or New Mexico) one of the kids living at the Timberlinks told me he's a drug dealer. REAL SAFE. There's always a cop hiding in one of the parking lots as part of a speed trap. One day an 18-wheeler crashed and fell over not too far away from the property and blocked traffic for hours.

I wouldn't recommend these apartments if you are impatient and have a lot of time to yourself (you might go crazy), but if you're busy and can manage to put up with a lot, then you would be able to survive there.
