Review for Citadel Apartments

We have lived here for four years. The first 3 were pretty great, although we sometimes had to remind forgetful staff about repairs. The last one there was a change in management and they made us sign for a 13 month lease instead of a 12 and we lost 700 because of it. The manager was unsympathetic despite it being their mistake and threatened that getting out of the lease early would cause dire consequences with our credit. She would not work with us and when we tried to go above her to central management, they would not call us back. We are pretty disgusted because we have never had a late rent payment and have lived here for four years but we are leaving July 31 with an ugly taste in our mouths.
Good points about the apartment: Humongous floorplans, 1200+ square feet for 2 bedroom with builtin bookshelves and gigantic brick fireplace. Nice open kitchen and very big living area. His and Hers closets in the master bedroom. The apartments were built in the 70's with a luxurious feel, indoor and outdoor large pools and extra charm inside;however, the carpet and linoleum are in desperate need of replacement and some windows have a pinkish sheen that is supposed to cut down on electric bills by keeping sun out. Makes it gloomy and ugly pink! Great floorplan, nice extras, needs new carpet and linoleum and NEW MANAGEMENT. We have been happy here though in little 616, right near indoor pool.
