Review for West Town Apartments

It is apparent that this complex at one time was a good place to live, although it is on the downhill slide. The grounds appear good, everyone is courteous, security is above average, but the wear and tear of an older complex is showing. Most of which is because the maintenance is sub-par. Most repairs must be reported on numerous occassions and I only seem to get a response after a confronting the manager, although even that has not always resolved the issue. The manager is very adept at producing excuses rather than results. If the manager promises something, you had better get it in writing.

Leaking faucets and running toilets are the order of the day. Water damage from storms or busted sprinklers is evident in many apartments and has not been repaired, just painted over.

Many of the apartment windows no longer lock, the answer is just to give locks that have to be place on the window rails in order to secure your apartment. These windows do not seal well or at all and serveral apartments experience incoming water with every rain storm. Despite numerous complaints nothing has been done to repair the windows or the damage.

Security seems to be above average, at least in their courtesy officers efforts, but from what I have seen, the management does not back up their security so residents have learned to disregard any warnings or violations that are brought to their attention.

Yes, parking sucks. It is apparent that this complex was built when families did not have 2 vehicles. With all of the empty apartments from people leaving, the parking is getting somewhat better, lol.

The only reason I still live here is due to the inconvenience of moving when I am expecting to PCS in mid 2008.

All in all, my worst maintenance experience with apartment living in over 15years of military service.
