Apartment Reviews for Citadel Apartments - El Paso

I remember looking at these reviews a year ago thinking, "Awww those people are just ****** and hard to please" . It turns out these people who manage this place are totally without morals, and unscrupulous.
Angry petty women who will charge you anything they can get away with. They have lots of little tricks and technicalities and made up penalties that they use to tack charges on to your bill. They are totally crooked period. Management cant keep the laundry rooms open with any kind of regularity, or maintenanced either, and clothes are continuously being stolen.
They just closed all the pools because there were some troublemakers here, --and get this--- The management, posted these little vengeful, vindictively worded notes on ALL of the residents doors, threatening to close the pools, and I see now they have closed the pools (in the middle of summer) Instead of dealing with the problematic tenants they close the pool to show us all a lesson. These people have no business managing anything other that a drama contest. Unless you like depending on self-centered little drama queens with Napoleon complexes and something to prove, seriously don’t sign a lease here.

I live here 6 months, beautiful place, nice, neat and quiet. The office staff said they had me to sign a document when I gave my thirty day notice stating I would be responsible for the carpet, when I was working on other documents. I was relocating to another city and explained the apartment was given back to them as they gave it to me. Because I was not there to do the walk-through I turned in the key and trusted them to do what was right, since it was such a fantastic place to live. They told me I had 71 holes in the wall at a dollar per hole, the carpet was torn and dirty, they charge me for cable and parking which was included in the rent. They told me I signed the document on move but I have proof that I did not sign this document because they told me I signed on a different date of when I gave my thirty day notice. They have placed these charges on my credit report and will not remove them. I have never left an apartment owing any money or in bad condition. The total they say I owe for all of this is $470, be aware and be very careful. "Food for thought",Esther the manager is an investor.

I would have to disagree with the other comments. I have lived in several apartments and living here is the best so far. I have lived here for about 3 1/2 years. I can walk around at night and feel completely safe. I rarely have to put in work orders but when I do they get taken care right away. The new management have been doing some amazing remodeling to update the amenities. The indoor pool is fabulous. No one in El Paso can offer an indoor heated pool. If you are looking for a home come check out this place. I'm sure you will love it.
