Do not rent here ( over a year ago )

Management needs a major overhaul. Malorie needs an attitude check and written notices of maintanance issues seem to go unnoticed. My window did not have a lock on it and still 3 months into my lease no lock on my window had to improvise and make a makeshift lock for it.

This place may have been built int he 60's; but, the management company needs to seriously do some upgrading. They need to fix all the fences for everybody's patio, they need to go around and check all the windows to make sure there are unsealed cracks, they need to check all window screens, and they need to paint and/or repair the framing around the windows. They basically need an overhaul on the outside. The inside could be better by sealing all holes especially. Had to call to get maintenance to come back out to fix things that they did not do a good job on the first time. Office sometimes seems to forget your maintenance issues. My maintenance items were things that should have been seen and noted and fixed prior to my move n. If tenants must do their move in check then all apartments, not just La Plaza, should be doing their move in check prior to. Are these apartments indeed doing a prior move in check? And, to what degree? Safety seems to be okay so far as well as the parking. I may not be parked directly in front of my door but at least I have one reserved parking space. Office staff is friendly enough but seem to sometimes forget maintenance requests. However, they are good about returning phone calls for online emails. I am basing the condition of my unit on the move in state.
