Apartment Reviews for West Town Apartments
Is your health worth the risk?

My husband and I moved in in Nov 2007 after we couldn't get base housing. My trouble started minutes into signing the lease, My door would not close or lock. By the time I went back to tell the Manager I had changed my mind about this place the office was closed and I had to wait the next day. Linda the ***. manager told me there was nothing I could do to get out of the lease since I had already signed and that the door would be fixed in 48 hours. We ended up being moved to a different apartment. This place was not ready for us to be moved in, not even the carpets were cleaned. On the patio, a big grease stain stunk up the back porch. Putting work orders in didn't help. It took them 2 weeks to give me a pressure washier that I had to fill up with gas and I had to pressure wash the patio. Eventually, about a month later they covered up the mess with cement paint.
After countless conversations and work orders with Management nothing seemed to get done. My fence was broken, the sink didn't work, the toilet ran, there was exposed mold in the bathroom. I went to Jag as a last resort and that only got them to patch the problems. The mold was patched over, the fence got propped up by them putting a steak in the ground, the toilet and the sink got properly fixed.
More Nightmares, they tried to fine us 120 for our dogs being on the patio and the days they claim they were there were unattented were days they were painting my patio and when my dogs were at the vet. When we took it to Jag, June told the Captain they were never trying to fine us.
My final straw was when my fence needed a new lock (something they knew about for over a month) and my dogs (labs) got out and nipped at another resident. A lot of this mess could be avoided if they just properly kept up the apartment.
We also had someone try and break into our home but management didn't want to "alarm" the other residents-Every man for himself I guess. However, the Police are always there so you shouldn't have a problem tagging one down.
Also don't let your children play on the Playground because people let their dogs poop there and pretty much everywhere without picking it up. It's gross!
After all of I gone through, they had the gull to tell my husband that they had offered to let us out of our lease in November. The woman at the front office LIE LIE LIE.
I'm 7 months pregnant, there is no reason why I should have had to go through all of this nonsense.
I urge you don't rent here.
