Review for Oak Park Apartments

This apartment community has two secions...one built several decades ago, and the newer part built in the 90's. Our apt is in the newer secion, on the first floor. I've seen maybe four small bugs there over the course of a year (I'm the type of person who would move out if I saw a giant roach, so some of the other reviews here really surprised me. I can only assume that those apts are in the older section).
We don't call maintenance very often, but they've been fairly quick to respond when we do call, and they respect our requests to come between certain hours.
The office staff lacks a little bit of personality but they get the job done.
Noise is pretty minimal, occasional conversations held outside our windows, and we hear very little from the apartment above us.
Neighbors seem quiet and keep to themselves in our building.
I really hate the new color they painted the buildings. It makes the older units look better, but the newer ones used to have this really pretty multicolored brick that made them look so classy...now they look kind of cheap. :(

If I had read the other reviews first, I probably wouldn't have even looked at this place. We might look for something a little more economical, but we wouldn't mind staying here for a few more years.
