I was decieved by the Meyer Park Apartments because of the lake and nice landscaping that you found as you come into the main complex. I found the girl who showed me around, Monique, to be quite helpful and knowledgeable. I needed an apartment and quickly so I settled and boy am I putting it nicely. When my roommate and I moved in we were disappointed and fustrated to find that several things in our apartment where either broken or destroyed:a huge, gashed hole in one of the bedroom doors, broken glass windows, settlement problems, etc. It took them forever to fix what needed to be fixed. We had to send emails, make phone calls, and fill out work orders several times until our apartment was given the time of day. There were several car break ins, and the worst experience was when a drug deal went down in the apartment above us and one of the people involved jumped off there patio and landed on ours. Thus, breaking the wood on our patio guard rails...which were never fixed. Also, they didnt spray enough for insects and as a result we had a terrible time with ants and termites. They tore a lot of our belongings up that were on the patio closest. Lastly, they were constantly having to fix our disposal and would never replace it. It was the most horrible, ghetto experience I have ever lived in. I felt so unsafe and uncomfortable in my surroundings. One last thing, people constantly parked in zones that were prohibited because they were fire zones. The cars were always blocking people in their space, etc. I finally called the towing service and was unable to authorize the service because there was a code that you had to give them that only the people that worked in the office knew. They woudln't give me the code and therefore I would never have been abe to have a car removed after work hours. If there would have been a fire we would have possibly died seeing as how the trucks would have had a difficult time getting in. But again they didnt' care!!!
