Positive Apartment Reviews and Ratings
Good deal, good location :) ( over a year ago )

The location is great. The other apartments in the area cost more and are usually smaller. Having a supermarket (Randall's) right across the street is a major convenience.
The apartments themselves are basic, but nice. The gym is a little small, all the exercise machines may be taken during the after work hours. The pool area is clean and good for sunbathing and light swimming. The parking garage is a death trap, if only people would drive slowly and on the right hand side. But you can't blame the apartment complex for idiots in their pricey BMW's flying around the corners like kamikazes.
The maintenance crews are quick to respond and fix issues quickly. The office staff is a little slow, both physically and mentally.
The neighborhood is a little iffy, there are usually people asking for money standing around the supermarket, gas station, and bus station that's located a few blocks away. No major crime though, I've walked the streets alone at night plenty of times.
The apartments facing the interior are quiet, unless there's a party at the pool and the people just HAVE to have a radio cranked. The apartments facing the exterior get a good amount of road noise (I'm interior).
The cable and internet access are through Phonoscope. Good basic channel selection and fast, reliable internet access.
Been living here for 2 years, just renewed the lease for another year. The cost & location can't be beat.

Being able to live 1.5-2.0 miles to work in Downtown Houston is an amazing ammenity. It is convienient to the MetroRail, Trolley Line, Downtown YMCA, Toyota Center, etc. The value for dollar is pretty decent considering the location, and great compared to cities like Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, etc. The service can leave something to be desired. There is a beautiful leasing center with open areas, that is basically useless. Office hours (8:30-5:30) leave you with no option but to go to work late, or leave early to pick up a package, speak to the office, etc if you travel on weekends. The property manager is great, but the rest of the staff seems pretty bored with their jobs. The weight room is mediocre at best, and the pool is great for pictures, but that's about it.
The parking area is a disaster waiting to happen. Aisles are very narrow and residents come screaming around corners. I am waiting for the inevitable where I get in a bad accident because someone is coming around a narrow corner at 30 mph. Parking spaces are even smaller. If you don't get the middle out of 3 in between poles, you are in danger of losing a mirror each time you back out. If you have anything bigger than a Sunfire, you barely fit, and you'd better hope an SUV or Truck doesn't park next to you, because you won't be able to open your doors if they do.
I enjoy living here, but there are a few things that make it 'Good' rather than being 'Great'
