Review for The Landmark At Barker Cypress Apartments

My family has lived here since they first opened last summer. What a huge mistake we made in signing that lease! We are paying $ 1,200 for a 2 bedroom apartment that is a piece of crap. Let me start out by saying the office staff is by far the rudest, most fake women out there. After you move in, they become totally different. Suddenly you don't matter anymore because they have you locked into a 14 month lease!!! So far, there has been a robbery, a black man walking up on women at night looking for a "ride" (more than once) plenty of drug use by residents, and the cops have been called due to partying and fighting at someone's home.
The apartments are spacious, but they ae made VERY POORLY. The doors barely lock, the carpet is falling apart, and they didn't paint the walls! Not to mention you can not open your windows AT ALL. There are no screens, so you can't air your apartment out if you want to. The pool is TINY and filled with drunks in the summer. I am scared to be home alone and walk out past dark. The lights do not come on in the buildings, nor is there any big lights (around the complex) to ward off criminals. The awesome car wash they have here is a green waterhose wrapped on a rotten piece of wood. I want to write this review because they are now offering a $400 incentive to anyone who refers a friend. Please don't get trapped living here like we did! It has been by far the worst (and scariest) apartment experience.
