Apartment Review for Tuscany Park

I live in Tuscany Park Apts on Voss in Houston, TX for 1.5 years and has experienced terrible services from the leasing office and corporate (Richdale Group). My apt was broken in, while I was out of town, WITH A KEY!!! Don't bother trying to get assistance from the Manager. The corporate people does not care much about the tenants' safety as stated, "We are NOT responsible for your safety." Thus when one of the gates is broken for one entire week, it is not considered high priority on their list to fix. I still have damage from the hurricane Ike that has not been completed..mind you, the disaster happened 9 months ago!! PLEASE REGARD YOUR OWN SAFETY FIRST AND OVERLOOK THE "REASONABLE RENT PRICE" OF THIS PROPERTY. The apt right below mine has been broken twice (2 different tenants) in the past year (with a crow bar)!!! Solicitors are consistently and freely walk about with their stupid flyers, sticking them on your door knob so burglars can tell that you are definitely out of town for days!! I have lived in Houston for 23 years, this is by far THE WORST PLACE TO FEEL SAFE AND SOUND AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY AND NIGHT. Cars have also been stolen from the property because the gates are constantly broken. It's no wonder the deposit for this skanky complex is extremely high ($600) and you are required to (MUST) have a renter's insurance!!! Also DO NOT RELY ON HPD to do any CSI work after your properties have been violated either! You are definitely NOT that important to any of these people because at that point the crime is considerent NON-EMERGENCY and NON-THREATHENING, even if it is bank and heart breaking to you! And YES, I do suspect their maintenance people did the inside jobs on tenants, although the manager was extremely defensive and would claim that she did a thorough background check on her staff. These are the same personnel who came to "semi" fix damages in my apt, used my toilet (left sit up with pee stain on the seat), and left a package of nasty frozen burrito in my freezer and empty can of soda on my dining table that was burried with debris and splattered with paint! They also left paint splattering on the carpet and never came back to clean up after 2 written notices to the manager. If this review still DOES NOT STOP you from renting this place (TUSCANY PARK OR ANY RICHDALE PROPERTIES) and spread the news to all your friends and family that you care about, then GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK!

PS: The burglars stole a stack of my credit cards, old TX licenses and security number. Now I have to deal with ID theft protection too, which is another pain and stress that I would not wish on anyone even my enemies. Don't forget any sentimental valuables and precious laptops you may have and no longer will have after leaving in this AFFORDABLE piece of crap establishment.
