Apartment Reviews for The Boulders
Nice inside but noisy and poor management

I have lived here a few months now, and I can tell you that management does not keep up with things around the complex. There are patios with all sorts of junk sitting out and patio shades that are broken and it really looks tacky. I can hear my neighbor upstairs, and he is LOUD!!! I can pretty much tell what he is doing in the bathroom as well as in the bedroom, like the other night when I could hear his bed squeaking through the ceiling! The apartment homes have nice amenities, but are poorly built. There are a lot of young adults that live here, and they come in at all hours of the night, racing their vehicles and leaving beer bottles and cans and cigarette butts laying all over the complex. No one ever picks them up either. And wait until you get your first water bill! They tell you that you only pay for the water that you use, but then you find out that you are paying less for your own water usage and nearly double for a charge that lists the City of Hurst as charging a flat rate fee. Strangely though, you pay the entire bill to the Boulders Apartments so I don't know who is getting all the money. I live alone, and my water bill is as much or more than it would be for someone living in a 3 bedroom house. Another thing is the maitenance crew doesn't keep up with the burned out street lights throughout the complex. I am looking forward to my lease expiring so that I can get out. Oh yeah, the city of Hurst is awful! Traffic lights are so long and a lot of elderly folks are driving around at night without headlights on. Very dangerous. I would not recomment moving to the Boulders or to Hurst. <P>
