I signed a lease with this apartment complex and was told a month after i moved in that I would receive a refund check back for $300. Now that is a sizeable amount of money especially considering the prices for rent.
One month they said after I moved in. It has been nearly three months and I HAVE STILL NOT received my check. Multiple calls to the regional manager, assistant manager, manager and various people in the office. I have been given nothing but the run around, first my check was simply late, then I signed the wrong paper and had to return the office and sign the right one. The woman faxed my sheet right in front of me and said 10 days from that date I would receive my check. LIES. Nothing ever came.
Supposedly the regional manager was on it but; of course no calls back and nothing ever happened. Its $300 dollars IM not going to forget that. If I am to pay my rent on time and promptly why cant I receive my funds on time?
Called back to the office spoke with a Tiffany or Victoria and they told me that, they looked in the system and my check was coming before Saturday. Well that was on Wednesday, Saturday comes and no check no excuse or anything. Finally get in touch with the assistant manager after much ranting and she says some checks slip through the cracks. REALLY?!?!?
As a business you need to keep up the happenings of the system! Not only that but I was told regular employees DO NOT have the capability to see into the corporate system to see when checks would arrive. SO basically I was lied to and rushed off the phone because they are tired of me calling in and asking about my money.
Supposedly my check is still on the way before Saturday but seriously this is WAY too much a headache to deal with these people. They never call you back unless you call up there and basically you have to curse them out and threaten them with bad reviews. Too late already gave you a bad review! Im not sorry for it either. You have to stay on top of these people because seriously they will push you under the bridge and your concerns and not even worry about it until you ***** at them.
ANother thing, I called up there to complain about the snakes I have seen around the complex. A baby one, two rattlers and a fresh snake skin. The message wasnt relayed before by an employee and, just got the assistant manager who hopefully had the pest man put down pellets, moth balls or whatever.
Rattlers people! Does someone have to get bit before anything happens? They think pretty buildings, a nice pool and a nice inside gives them the right to hardly care about whats going on with the residents and our concerns. The only good thing is that the apartments are very nice, its quiet because hardly anyone lives here yet and its close to 35.

I've been living in the Settlement Apartments for about 3 weeks. The apartments are nice and the courtyard is very well taken care of. However, since I first moved in, I've had a leak in my bath tub. It's progressively gotten worse and I've already contacted them several times and it's still not fixed. I was up there yesterday and they told me they would send the plumbers out... again (it seems the maintenance is inept when it comes to simple plumbing problems). My faucet is still leaking. Also, when we moved in, we made a few marks on the wall. When we tried to wipe them off (using a damp cloth) the paint came off! I contacted the leasing office and they told me that "People generally just paint over it." Ridiculous! The problem is that they diluted the paint with too much water.
