When me and my fanily moved in we paid the deposit right away, however, it took 2 additional months to get the apartment ready. They did give us our first month free which was nice but I had to call the district manager. The apartment that they gave us used to belong to a group of musicians and they got evicted, therefore the place was a mess and had cigarette burns all over the carpet and counters. They never replaced the carpet or tried to fix the burns and now they are trying to charge us for it. The screens were tore and there were holes in the walls and not small ones but big ones that they did not replace. When I placed work orders for them they never showed up and when I complained they gave me a speech about how they could not find any good maintanance people and that I was a bother and I should just live with it. They feel that since there is a housing shortage in this area that they can charge whatever they want and don't have to do any maintanance or treat their tenants with respect. Next month when our lease is up we will definately move out to another apartment, we decided that we will pay more for an apartment if it is well maintained and if they treat the tenants with respect that they deserve. I would never recommend this place to anyone other than a homeless bum because even they have it better living in a carboard box.
