Apartment Review for Remington Oaks

We moved from Longview, drove our uhual 3 hours to get here, arrive with blinds dirty, broken, floors stained, uncleaned, and lumpy spots. The apartment was NEVER CLEANED! There were ants for a couple weeks, we got rid of them rather easily, unlike the roaches. Called staff/maintence complained of the roaches, nothing happened. We took matter into our hands and 3 months later finally got rid of the roaches after having an exterminator come out ONCE EVERY WEEK! We are a young couple just starting out, and learning how to cook, so we weren't sure why every time we cooked using the stove our food was always burnt. Yet again made our calls to the apt w/ our complaints, they came out to "fix it", yet you can not understand the maintence which are all SPANISH! Nothing got fixed. The AC wasn't working properly, it would work, but it wasn't working like it should. The water was screwed up, and by this time, I had to call a building inspector, who acknowledged our stove was running 200 degrees higher at all times than what it should. (after another 2 months we ended up with a BRAND NEW STOVE). He also realized our AC was running 28 degrees warmer than it said, THAT NEVER GOT FIXED!!!!! And the water was either scolding hot to where you would end up with burns, or freezing cold NO ONE NORMAL COULD SHOWER IN IT. So he gave the apartment 2 weeks to start making repairs, every day after that was a 2,000 fine to them. So they got on the ball, but EVEN NOW the water still doesn't work properly.......Ever since October of 2006 when we started using our heater for the first time, we noticed the braker blows way to much. It's not Feb 2007 and the braker to the heater can blow anywhere from 10-40 times a day. It's ridiculous. Took 3 months to finally get a maintence got out here, to yet again not be able to understand him, and STILL NOT HAVE OUR HEATER FIXED! <P>
Our neighborh's caddy corner, drank at all hours of the night no one was 21 or up, they did this outside, girls fighting physically, guys pooping on their neighborh's balcony, all kinds of stuff, I have made SEVERAL police reports, they finally got evicted. THE SAME APARTMENT was leased to another group of guys under 21, who do the exact same thing except they prefer to smoke weed at all hours of the night on their BALCONY!!!! Yet again have made several police statements, complaints to the staff nothing has been done. <P>
On the bright side, the staff is nice, but it's alllllllllllllllll ******** coming out of their mouth. <P>
