Review for Willow Springs Apartments

We're new to Houston... Two of our children (and my husband) were diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy so we traveled 10 hours to get here for better medical care. Since bowling is one of two "sports" my oldest can do, we were impressed with the apartments (Willow Springs) next door to the bowling alley he bowls at. We really should have kept looking, and you should too.

Where do I start'' Broken promises, horrible, rancid smelling apartments, illegal parking in handicap parking spots and dog feces everywhere in the grass - so much so my two year old walked out of our apartment, and right into it. So what do we do'' We were promised the ability to move to another apartment (on OUR dime to move, by the way) but they backed out when they realized we had no intention of paying a transfer fee. Why should we'' The apartment we were given smelled horrible - so much so the maintenance, two days after arriving, had to apply enzymes to the sinks to try and help. It's been 11 days since we moved in. We've signed a 12 month lease - we had every intention of staying, ESPECIALLY because my family is not in the best health condition and we needed a place to settle down.

This place is a nightmare, and I'm frightened whatever is causing the horrible smell in the apartment will create further health problems on top of already chronic cardiovascular disease. Do you think they care'' Absolutely 100% not. This is by far the worst apartment complex we've ever had the displeasure of living at. Keep looking.. drive a little further if you have to, but I promise you, this is not the place to try and call home.
