Apartment Reviews for Louis Henna Townhomes
one star is pushing it!!!!!!!! KEEP LOOKING DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!

We moved in 4 months ago and thought we were getting a great deal...1st month free and super low deposit..looks good on the outside, except for the broken blinds and gang related graffiti all over the place. Our first warning sign was the acctual application process. After turning in all paperwork and our deposit it took nearly 3 weeks to hear back from management. Us calling in every few days or so to find out if we were approved and asking for an estimated move in date we got the run around..and 90% of the times we would call it would go directly to voicemail.
Now once we finally got in and did our walk through, it took more than the 3 lines provided on each room to list the deficiencies. Some examples were large holes in the laminate flooring, paint on everything from the light fixtures to the mirrors and carpet. The appliances are tiny, outdated and disgusting. Obvious signs of a rodent problem. Leaking sinks and bathroom plumbing(not the 1st repairs made to try and solve these problems..but obvious that they arnt solved),carpet has inch wide gaps along the stairs and base boards..crappy plastic to replace broken window panes...I wonder if this place was even cleaned before we moved in. My list of complaints would go on and on about the inside. And now the outside, there is gang related graffiti all over the complex. Im not sure why it hasn't been cleaned up or painted over, maybe its there to add charatcer. And the kids that run around this place...ughhh..where are their parents..ive had atleast 3 close calls with kids running out infront of my car. Ive seen kids climbing on cars and roofs of units, 2 fights infront of my unit. Both CPS and police at 2 seperate units across the way. And im pretty sure the people who live across from us are selling drugs from their unit.
We didnt realize that Double Creek(Henna)Townhomes was government subsidized until we signed our lease and saw all this for ourselves. Since moving in I have had crap thrown at me and my car, my childrens bike stolen, my kids have been bullied and Im terrified to say anything to either the parents or management for fear or retaliation..so i will lay low til my lease is up and I will never look back or recomend this place to anyone.
KEEP LOOKING!!!!DONT FALL FOR THE MOVE IN SPECIAL!!! or you'll be stuck counting down the days like we are.
