Review for Ashley Oaks Apartments

I signed a lease agreement before i read reviews for here, bad mistake. I have lived in other apartment complexes before and written good reviews because im not the type of person to only negative opinions but unfortunatley this one will be different. I have not lived here that long yet it seems like one problem after another. I was told over a month in advance that out already assigned apartment number was ready for us to move in and yet when i asked for the keys to go and take mesurments I was told it wasnt ready, or there was someone working on it. Then 2 days before I was to move in they confessed that it really wasnt ready and they had to find a diffent apartment for us. Ok fine. So move in day comes and I finally get the keys. I open the door, so far so good. New carpetsm new paint job and thats about it. Kitchen counters where the worse, appearance wise. Looks like they were pained over white and then the paint was chipped. I opened the dishwasher, filthy, smelly water sat stagnet. The dirt and grime was just piled on the walls, I had to go in and clean other peoples filth. You would think that would have been done by the cleaning staff before i got there, nope, they probably have maintenance do a half ass job when they feel like it. I went to take a shower later that night and the main bathtub would not drain so i had to take and unscrew the drain and clean it out only to find globs of someoneelses hair and dry paint. The painters must use my tub to clean thier brushes. Disgusting. Other apparent problems, AC did not work efficently, light fixtures were not on the lights, 2 differnt outlets had no power, lights did not turn on, constant plumbing problems that take FOREVER for them to fix even if they know its leaking in your apartment and the 3rd pool is always filthy and there is no net if you want to clean it yourself. Bugs and hair for weeks at the top and the bottom.
But wait, i will not leave only negative remarks. I will say though that i have not encountered the office staff as rude yet. They have been pleasent when i called or walked in. Its mainly a maintance issue. Maybe managment should look into that, its doubtful that they will. I have a brand new working oven, microwave and carpet and I do enjoy my neighbors. Its the crappy repair work that is not completed or just left behind.
Think twice before you sigh an agreement here. They are perceived as very nice apartments until you move in and it turns out to be the money pit.
