Review for Ashley Oaks Apartments

They recently painted the outside but the inside is really what needs fixing. The apartments are older and had many maintenance issues IE leaky a/c, leaky/running toilets, dishwasher leaking, broken faucets, broken handles, broken refrigerator, electricity going out. These wouldn't be a problem but the office staff didn't seem to be able to get the notices to the maintenance staff and when they did they half assed their jobs. You would have to babysit them with your maintenance issues til they actually got them done. The walls in the apartment are extremely thin so you can hear lots of extra stuff even at normal levels. I also didn't get my full deposit back. There was nothing wrong with the apartment but they decided to keep a little for themselves. They didn't give me the explanation of why money was withheld which is in violation of the law. If I still live in SA I would file a lawsuit but it's not worth the 4 hour drive. I would look down the road closer to 281 and pay a little more for a newer nicer apartment.
