My boyfriend and I moved in here after having trouble finding a new place. We where shown currently lived in town home with amazing wood floors and a beautiful kitchen. The assistant informed us that there has never been a complaint or break in on the property for 3 years. We where then forced to lease our townhome without even seeing the inside.

The day we where suppose to move in we where informed (after signing the lease and gaining the keys) that the home was not finished and some work would need to be done in the next few days. As we started to move in our stuff we began noticing that the "new" carpet was oily and felt dirty. The manager gave us a invintory list to sign off stating ANYTHING that is wrong with the apartment. We instantly started finding things that where unfinished such as no door knobs, whole on the walls covered but not repainted, and blinds where not installed. Though small these things should have warned us of the trouble that would be coming our way.

As we looked around we also noticed that the sinks and tub where painted instead of cleaned and the second you put any water or solution to clean these items the paint chips. Our dish washer was filled with moldy water that made the whole apartment stink for days, which is how long it took for them to get someone out to "repair" it. I say repair because the dumb guy emptied the dish washer onto the floor and said he would send someone out later that day, which didn't happen until 7pm which was a man who came to switch out the dish washer.

Finally after about a week our apartment was moved into the physical things where completed. It wasn't until over a week later that I came home to find our front door open. I called the office there was no answer (which there never is, and messages are hardly returned. I walked into my home and was greeted by three men which not one of them spoke english and could explain why they where sitting on my couch. After threatening to call the police for the third time another man opened my front door and helped himself into my home. He informed me the carpet was unfinished and the men where there to fix it. They where sitting on my couch because they where finished and waiting for his review of the carpet so they could leave. Two more weeks went by and my brand new car was broken into. After speaking to the two other residents who's vehicles where broken into, I learned it was a common occurance at this property because there is no parking lot lights and no security cameras or guard. I spoke to the manager and she informed us that this was the first time, even after the officer stated he has been at this property many times in the past. Another week went by and the apartments accross the street experienced some home invations. It was at that point that the manager requested the police department come down and explain to the residence how to keep themselves from being the victim (which was litterally a waste of time).

The events that my boyfriend and I experienced would not even compare to the interesting nights and mornings that followed our move in. It was a weekly occurance that a car accident would happen. We even purchased a large firstaid kit because even though the police station is less then four blocks away they can never find our complex. Again we spoke to the apartment complex manager because we had witnessed the fence right outside our living room window get taken out at least once a month. We where informed that city action was being taken. In December we had a car come through the fence, break the concrete divider and barrle through my living room window. Again this happened in DECEMEBER it is currently JUNE and the window is still not fixed. They replaced the glass but the window frame is so broken that anyone who walks by can see that they can open the window and walk through our home (thanks to the rediculously low placing of the windows).

These are only a handful of the problems we recieved. Anything and everything you can imagine could go wrong, has. From rent money being lost to placing repair orders and them never being filled. After the experation of our lease we gave our 30 days that our lease stated we needed to give and where informed upon turning in the paper work that it was a 60 day notice and the lease contained a typo, but they would gladly write a three month lease for us at our current rate. We turned in our 90 day notice that same day!

As a young renter (we are both in our twenties) I would advise you to RUN. The property here is falling apart and is not taken care of. The assistant was fired for unknown reason and frankly she was the only one who did the job. The manager is only on the property one day a week and temps are called in to work the other 5 days. Our stay was a wreck. We have never complained about a property before and this one by far deserved to be complained about. Every one of our neighbors have moved out this week, we are leaving this Friday. That should tell you that this property is poorly ran. We now have to pay for the sinks to be repainted, the carpet to be replaced. For as much hassle as this has cost you could buy a house for less!
