Review for Landera Apartments

I lived at Landera Apts. from late 1999 to mid 2006 and in that space of time the only really bad things were they sold from Equity to Alliance and we lost our wonderful Maint. guy, James, Landera would not evict these really loud party people who partied and got drunk and LOUD every other weekend for months on end, there was a lot of dog poo around that the filthy dog owners wouldn't pick up, and someone stole my doorbell. We did have news of an attempted break in once in the complex but Landera put letters on everyone's doors letting us know. There was always a lot of parking, the pool was ALWAYS cleaned (and drained and cleaned at least twice while I was living there), they upgraded my appliances for free, they always cleaned the carpets when I renewed my lease, I got Equity for a house under the Equity plan, They gave me a fruit basket and my own parking spot on my 5th year there, they upgraded all the washers and dryers, they redid the roof on each building, they painted all the buildings, they redid the entire parking lot, they changed out the pool furniture completely at least twice over, making sure it was always nice, they reinforced against rats (putting mesh behind appliances etc.), they also put new machines in the exercise room since I'd moved in and they also redid the office area at least twice (there used to be a sunken fireplace in the corner but they filled it in), they painted and changed the entire decor. I had a 2/2 and it was lovely. We even bought an extra ceiling fan and they installed it for us for the smaller bedroom which didn't have one. Landera was really nice and had huge floorplans and lots of closet space. Also washer dryer connections behind folding doors inside the apartment, wet bar, fireplace, huge patio. Kitchen a bit small. The managers were always pretty nice to me. Some more than others but the only problematic one was a guy, I can't remember his name. All the ladies were always pretty nice. James the maint. guy was fantastic and they had a guycalled Eric there for a while. Very gentlemanly, James would always call me Ma'am. It's pretty expensive there now but if you can afford it, I recommend it. I got in on a great deal during the construction on Blanco so it was great for us.
