Apartment Review for The Stratford

This place has been the worst experience of our lives. The management team that was here before the Lynd Company was a lot more pleasant to deal with. Give them a call and they won't do a thing for you, except direct you to another number. I've submitted requests online and they go unanswered. Our air conditioner is a piece of trash, throughout our entire lease it has broken a minimum of 7 times and in Texas that is a nightmare. It's been broken for 2 days in a row with temperatures reaching 100 and do they seem to care? No, the problem still wasn't fixed. Oh and if you have a nice car, get ready for it to be ruined, the people here could care less about your car. We have so many scratches, dents, SEVERE dents, hits and dings from people backing up into us, hitting us repeatedly with their car doors or belongings. Oh and let's not forget thei times we've caught tenants sitting on our cars and that time we caught one of the workers hired by the complex to paint the complex sitting on our car. People do not know how to park here and DO NOT know how to respect your property. Late night parties spill out in to the parking lots and you can hear loud music a majority of the night from cars that just drive up and park with their music talking to other tenants I assume. We've seen the police here so many times, day and night. The buildings are falling apart, the new management is attempting to clean up the exterior appearance, but fresh paint and wood won't hide the foundation problems, cracked walls, old interiors, its all cosmetic. Pipes are so old, when you turn on the water it rattles in your apartment and you know everytime when your upstairs neighbor turns on their water. We had mold in our apartment and we complained three times about it and how it made us physically sick, we have proof with pictures and we've seen the doctors, but do they care? NO! The mold remains, they even left us a note saying that there is no mold present in our apartment, but did they inspect the correct way, the law abiding way according the Texas Mold and Licensing Law? Nope! They came in looked around and said there was no mold, but wait! WE HAVE PICTURES! They did happen to paint over the large water stain in the bathroom ceiling, signifying a water leak above, I guess that's how they solve their problems, just cover it up and no one will notice. The appliances are OLD and hardly work. People let their dogs poo everywhere, its always nice to walk out our front door and down the sidewalk to find poo from the dog upstairs. The trash is always overflowing, and you can always find mattresses, tvs, and other crap on the sides of the trash overflowing on to the streets.

THINK a thousand times before moving here! Check the police reports on this address, drive around the place several times, during the day and during the night. Check it out, believe me there is nothing good about this place, not one thing, it's awful. For the amount of rent you pay, which has gone up from what we started paying, you can find something a million times better up the street. Don't risk it, take this as a warning, if I can help just one person runaway from this **** hole, my task has been completed.
