Apartment Reviews for Austin Ranch - The Colony

Renter's Beware! Austin Ranch is definately a Joke. They do not care for their tenant's or appreciate their business. All they want is that monthly rent check. Rotating staff, loud music and police harrassment are just a few of the concerns. There are plenty other properties in the area that APPRECIATE their customer's unlike the Monopoly of Austin Ranch.

1st of all, the maintenance crew is awesome. they are always working to keep the property beautiful.
the office staff on the other hand... what a bunch of snobby, self-righteous, sneaky people.
if u ever want a good nite sleep, AR is NOT for you. if it's not the skateboarders, it's drunk people at all hours of the night- throwing up in theroad, hitting cars, yelling, falling, OH and then the construction begins at 7am without fail.
if you renew your lease they'll hike up the rate for the same space. what about customer appreciation??
and if you make a complaint at hte office, they totally blow you off.
THE PLACE IS A JOKE. beautiful but looks are deceiving!!

I agree i think the scorpion king lives at austin ranch...omg, i found a scorpion in my babys crib....they dont spray, my child ran a fever for week!!!also the party never ends the pool in phase 4 was covered with over a million beer cans in the pool and never cleaned. its always an all night sausage fest.....i never seen so many fabio look alikes, its like all they do is drink energy drinks,lift weights, and rub themselves with baby oil....I feel so bad for the hispanic workers thaqt have to clean up everyones mess all the time. the elevators dont work, they get stuck when its raining. oh and my fav is when i saw this guy ******* in broad daylight on a car cuz he was so drunk...that was the best, im glad im out of there!!

Based on these other reviews on here about Austin Ranch, i have decided that people will NEVER be happy! I love it here! It is beautiful! There are tons of fun things to do here! there are 6 pools to choose from, 3 of those are very popular on the weekend if you want to meet people, there is a life size chess/checkers board, tons of parks to walk through, great place for biking, decent fitness centers, decent staff, great pizza at Gecko. I like my apt, appliances are new, great floor plan! Maintenance reports can be placed online so you dont even have to go to the leasing office!!! There is a patrol guy on site all the time who is really nice....parking is great in my phase, AR is huge though so i cant speak for everyone, i havent heard any complaints though. Its a very young, fun, proffessional population here...wouldnt recommend families. Great for animals, tons of places to walk your dog. one small problem is i live on the 2nd floor and can hear my neighbor above me walking around... Other than that, I'm content and cant imagine an apt with more amenities and fun!

Lots of pretty people everywhere and the amenities are outstanding but maintenance is so slow and will not respond unless it is an emergency situation. Bugs and wildlife are everywhere, including in the apartments. It is near a nature reserve after all. I have seen everything from wasps to owls to racoons and of course spiders,spiders,spiders. Car theft is a problem and recently a meth lab was shut down but other than that it's pretty much a great deal for the money. If you want to live in this area and be surrounded by lots of young, active people it is a cool, trendy place to be.

my apartment here is awesome...there are tons of different floor plans to choose from here...lofts, flats, and townhomes. the pools are awesome and there are tons of really great ameneties. definitly not a family oriented place, most people who live here are young and there are alot of parties that go on. overall, the apartments are pretty nice and the community is awesome
